American Actor and Comedian Kevin James is known for his leading role in “The King of Queens”, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” and many other humor-filled films. What you might not know, however, is the role his journey to faith played.
Raised Catholic, James experienced a spiritual awakening through the 2004 film “The Passion of the Christ.” As a fellow actor, he admired the reality of the set and the emotion of the characters. But more than that, he knew that what they were portraying was Gospel truth. However, it wasn’t until his daughter was severely struggling with autism that his faith reached new heights.
Deciding to fast for 40 days straight, James was determined to hear from God. His daughter wasn’t sleeping, so he turned to prayer and fasting. According to an X post, “On the very day he was about to quit from hunger, his daughter told him she’d finally slept well.”
