Psalms in the dark

100 Devotions of Hope for Your Hardest Days

Hope for the days when the darkness doesn’t lift.

Some days, getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain.

The prayers won’t come.

The anxiety won’t quiet.

The sadness won’t leave.

If you’ve ever wondered where God is in the middle of your hardest moments, Psalms in the Dark was written for you.

This 100-day devotional is an invitation to meet God honestly—not after you’ve pulled yourself together, but right in the middle of the struggle. Through the words of the Psalms, you’ll discover that God has always welcomed honest prayers, raw emotions, and weary hearts.

Whether you’re walking through anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, or simply a season where hope feels distant, this devotional reminds you that you are not alone—and you never have been.

Inside You’ll Find

Each devotional includes:

  • A Psalm that gives language to what you’re feeling
  • A short devotional rooted in Scripture + real-life
  • One key truth + reflection question for journaling
  • A heartfelt prayer when you don’t have the words
  • One simple, practical step toward hope

Organized around the three major movements found throughout the Psalms—lament, praise, and thanksgiving—this devotional gently walks with you from honest sorrow toward renewed hope.

why the psalms?

Long before we struggled to explain anxiety, depression, loneliness, or emotional exhaustion, the psalmists were already bringing those very feelings before God.

Before Jesus cried,

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

a psalmist had already prayed those words.

The Psalms remind us that faith has never required pretending everything is okay. Instead, they teach us how to bring every emotion—even the hardest ones—to the God who draws near to the brokenhearted.

This isn’t a book filled with quick fixes or easy answers.

It’s a companion for hard days.

A reminder that your struggles do not push God away—they draw Him near.

If you're wondering… who is this book for?

Psalms in the Dark is for anyone who is:

  • Walking through anxiety or depression
  • Feeling emotionally exhausted or burned out
  • Wrestling with grief or loss
  • Wondering where God is in the middle of suffering
  • Looking for biblical encouragement that doesn’t minimize pain
  • Longing for hope that feels honest and genuine
