The topic of abortion has been a hot topic in the White House for many years. On April 29th, 2026, however, Pro-life groups in New Jersey are rejoicing after “a chain of crisis pregnancy centers won a unanimous victory at the U.S. Supreme Court” yesterday.

Siding with First Choice Women’s Resource Centers in New Jersey, a faith-based chain of crisis pregnancy centers, Justice Neil Gorsuch gave the following declaration:

“An official demand for private donor information is enough to discourage reasonable individuals from associating with a group. Whether the subpoena’s demands and penalties were immediately enforceable or contingent on future court action, donors would reasonably fear disclosure and hesitate to associate.”

According to CBN, First Choice was fighting an investigation brought on by the New Jersey attorney general, who demanded that the group hand over an in-depth donor list, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and places of employment.

Thankful for the court ruling, other pro-life groups across the states have been encouraged by the court’s 9-0 ruling and inspired to take action.

William Haun, senior counsel at Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, noted the victory as “a triumph for every faith-based ministry in America.” Explaining that “the Court made crystal clear that our First Amendment freedoms—including religious freedom—are ‘necessarily’ associative, and that keeps the federal courthouse doors open for religious groups to protect their governance from intrusive state bureaucrats,” he noted the decision as righteous.
