British folk singer and musician Marcus Mumford is known as the lead singer of the folk band Mumford & Sons. Known for his hit tracks “Grace,” “I Will Wait,” “How,” “The Cave” and “Broken Crown,” Mumford recently shared his faith behind the stage.
In a “SmartLess” podcast, Mumford boldly explained how a childhood Bible camp pen pal connection reignited on Facebook, truly defining his future. Before Marcus and actress Carey Mulligan were a famous couple loved by culture, they were two kids falling in love at summer camp.
At just 10 years old, Mumford met Mulligan (age 12) at a church Bible camp. When they became instant pen pals, he never believed they’d become lovers. Connecting years later as adults on Facebook, the rest of their love story became history.
