Because this is a cabin-style event, many rooms in a cabin of this size have multiple beds (i.e. – 4 queens, a king and a sofa bed, etc.). Be thinking of some fellow friends you might want to invite so that, if you want, you can easily share a room with someone you know (first come first serve!). Some queen and king beds are in their own rooms, however. This placement will also be first come first serve.

Yes! If you have a friend, you need to choose the “2 males,” “2 females,” or “couple” option when checking out. This will charge the amount for both of you in 1 transaction.

Currently, card is the preferred methods of payment. You can also use Apple or Google pay. If you have any questions or concerns, please email amber@amberginter.com for more information.

If you are flying, please book a flight into Columbus (CMH).

Great news! While we will definitely be in the crux of Hocking Hills, this cabin is a great mix of views and safe roads. You will not need four-wheel drive to get to the cabin.

Weather in Ohio can be a bit predictable in June. It can be crazy hot and muggy or rainy with cool winds. Typically, it’s warm (around 70-80 degrees) with a few showers.

Please check the weather leading up to the event to determine what to bring. It is always slightly cooler in the woods, so dress in layers if you think you’ll be cold.

Not at all. They are always optional, but we will try to pick trails accessible for all levels and gage this based on who signs up for the retreat. It will be a lot of fun, but it’s also totally fine if you just need some quiet time or a nap at the cabin during this time!

Yes! Reach out to amber@amberginter.com if you’re interested in serving. Note: Almost all volunteers are paid guests who stay on site. Occasionally, we allow special guests to come and go.

Yes! Choose “1 male” or “1 female” and “private bed” when booking. Limited upgrades are available.

  • You feel emotionally, mentally, or physically exhausted and long for space to heal

  • You live with anxiety, depression, burnout, or chronic illness—and are tired of being told to “just pray more”

  • You’re craving real connection, not surface-level small talk

  • You want biblical truth and practical mental health tools

  • You’re ready to be honest with yourself, others, and God

  • You long to know that you’re not alone

  • You want to leave feeling seen, spiritually grounded, and gently refreshed

This retreat is not for you if...

  • You’re looking for quick fixes or bandaid answers.
  • You’re looking for a high-energy or entertainment-driven retreat

  • You’re not comfortable with quiet, reflection, or deeper convos

  • You’re unwilling to be respectful of others’ experiences, beliefs, or boundaries

  • You believe mental illness is solely a spiritual issue that should be solved with more faith

  • You’re not open to learning from mental health professionals or others with lived experience

  • The idea of a “cabin” weekend with friends or family does not appeal to you
