On Saturday, April 25th, 2026, the White House in Washington, D.C. faced an attempted shooting of President Trump. Just ten days later, on Monday, May 4th, 2026, another shooting involving Secret Service Personnel protected the nation’s capital from yet another heinous attack.
Around 3:30 p.m., plainclothes agents spotted a man just outside the White House Complex with the imprint of a weapon on him. As Secret Service officers approached him, the suspect tried to flee. According to CBN, the incident sparked an evacuation of the press corps from the White House lawn. The shooting then occurred at the intersection of 15th Street and Independence Avenue South West in Washington, D.C., near the Sidney R. Yates building (WTOP News).
Unfortunately, a minor was struck by shots fired during the incident, but no serious injuries resulted. It’s suspected that the minor was shot by the suspect and not by the shots of the Secret Service officers.
