For decades, music has been something that draws people from all nations, tribes, and tongues together. It’s an emotional and spiritual language, and when worship songs are used, they often reflect the heart of a generation searching for something beyond what their ears can hear.

2025 marked a year of longing for honesty, hope, and God’s nearness. But in a time of uncertainty, worship can serve as an anchor, not an escape. And as Colossians 3:16 denotes, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts” (NIV).

Here are 10 trending worship songs centered on God’s faithfulness, surrender, hope after hardship, and God’s presence amid anxiety.

1. Holy Forever- Chris Tomlin- “A thousand generations, falling down in worship, to sing the song of ages to the Lamb.” Sometimes, we all need a reminder that God is good and He is holy forever. No matter what is happening in our world, He deserves our praise. His name is the highest, greatest, and truly is above all names. That’s a reason to celebrate.

2. Trust in God- Elevation Worship/Chris Brown- “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. He’s been my fourth man in the fire, time after time. Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood, and what He did for me on Calvary is more than enough.” One of my favorite parts about this song is the line, “He’s been my fourth man in the fire, time after time.” Why? Because all of us have felt like Daniel and his friends, thrown into the fiery furnace. Today, we probably haven’t been in a physical fire, but we know what it’s like to face fiery circumstances. But even there, God’s presence is with us. He’s truly that fourth man in the fire, God *with* us.

3. I Know a Name- Elevation Worship/Chris Brown/ Brandon Lake- “I know a name, that can silence the roaring waves. I know a name, that can empty out a grave. I know a name, it’s the only name that saves. And it’s worthy of all praise.” If we truly believe the lyrics of that song are true, then we can rejoice that we do know a Name. And not just any name, but the name of Jesus that can transform, change, and restore our lives.

4. Love of God- Brandon Lake/ Phil Wickham- “It’s so good, I almost can’t believe it. Far beyond what hearts could ever dream. The God who set the galaxies in motion, would descend to give His life for me.” One of the most beautiful attributes of the Lord is His love for us as human beings. It’s impossible to fully comprehend it, but that love is something you and I don’t deserve. Not only did Jesus give His life for us, but He also gave us the ability to love.

5. Firm Foundation- Cody Carnes- “Christ is my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand. When everything around me is shaken, I’ve never been more glad. That I put my faith in Jesus, ‘Cause He’s never let me down. He’s faithful through generations, so why would He fail now? He won’t.” While human beings may mean well, even the best ones will fail you. The good news about Jesus is that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And He will never let you down. That’s why He alone is our firm foundation. Nothing else can compare, and He will keep us stable even if and when our world is shaking.
